Discussion:
- AI bots, like ChatGPT, are scanning websites on mass. I have requested they don't do it, but not guaranteed at this time. Do you want me to obstruct AI bots actively or let them absorb our public displayed content?
- Do you want these website reports to be private or public?
- We got an email from Jane Little about local produce linking to a national site that does deliver here in Gympie. The email gave no link to the site and looked a bit like spam.
- Many of the posts on Facebook are only getting between 30 and 100 views and rarely more than 200. Not great for having 1.2k members.
- Why is this happening? There are a few possible reasons including the type of content which may be shadow banned. Could also be members not engaging in the content and falling down the priority list on their feeds.
- If we ever want to separate ourselves from My Place, we would lose the facebook group.
- Our newsletter gets 250 +- opens (40-50%) regularly.
- So with content on website and linked from the newsletter, we get a good hit rate and we preserve our content under our control.
- If we were posting more solutions based content, then we could attract more folks from FB to our newsletter and/or website. Don't forget our website has forums.
